 Hypertension During Pregnancy

MIST Technologies assists Obstetricians and other healthcare professionals to better manage their patients’ hypertension.  Focused first on women at risk of complications in pregnancy due to hypertension, the MIST protocol was developed by Dr. Thomas Easterling and then adopted and refined by Dr. David Chaffin.  MIST enables Physicians to measure the physiologic factors that create hypertension – called hemodynamics – in a way that enables them to more precisely diagnose problems and prescribe the best medications to address individual patient needs.  By doing so early in a pregnancy, the risk of preeclampsia, premature birth, under or overweight babies, or even maternal or fetal death is greatly reduced. MIST and its use is about improving outcomes for women at risk of developing preeclampsia, HELPP Syndrome, and other conditions of pregnancy related to hypertension and their babies.  We are dedicated to this task.

MIST provides equipment to measure hemodynamics bundled with database software enabling doctors to guide and evaluate treatment using hemodynamic data.  A quick, easy test reveals the hemodynamics and the results are presented in a format easy to read and understand.
